Important Year End Dates from Plancorp
As we approach the end of 2011, we would like to inform you of a number of deadlines regarding transactions at our custodians, Charles Schwab and Fidelity Investments. These dates have been determined by Plancorp based on deadlines established by the custodians to ensure that time-sensitive transactions are successfully completed before December 31, 2011. Some examples are as follows:
- November 18 - Charitable gift of restricted stock
- November 23 - Charitable gift of mutual funds
- December 1 - Charitable gift of other stock (certificates)
- December 1 - Required Minimum Distributions from retirement accounts*
- December 1 - Electronic stock transfers
- December 1 - New retirement accounts, Roth conversions
- December 9 - Grant recommendation through a donor advised fund
- December 28 - Cash donations
*If you are uncertain if you must take a Required Minimum Distribution and have not been contacted by our staff, please notify your financial planner as soon as possible.
Year end can often be a very hectic time for us all. If you anticipate any of these types of transactions this year, please contact your financial planner and he will help with the details.

Plancorp Client Service Representatives:

The "CSRs" are often easier to reach by telephone than other members of the wealth management team. They are available to answer your questions about the features of your accounts with Schwab and Fidelity and to help with cashiering and other technical functions of your accounts.

We would also like to make you aware of our holiday office schedule. The Plancorp offices will be closed on
Thursday, November 24 (Thanksgiving Day) and Friday November 25.
