Bob practiced orthopedics, specializing in hand surgery, for over twenty-five years. In addition to maintaining an active practice, his role included the oversight of operations, strategic planning, and the retirement plan. He was also the founder and president of a consortium of more than fifty orthopedic surgeons from Missouri and southern Illinois, uniting physicians previously viewed as competitors for the purpose of developing "best practice" models and negotiating patient care and vendor contracts. He served on numerous local, regional and national advisory committees, and was a frequent speaker before groups of physicians, nurses and physical therapists.
Bob's association with Plancorp began in 1983, when he and his wife Beth became clients.
Bob and Beth, a special education teacher with the Special School District, live in Chesterfield. Bob enjoys combining his two favorite hobbies of travel and photography. He and Beth have been fortunate to have visited fascinating sites throughout the world. They have two sons.
