Steve is an attorney who, before joining Plancorp, divided his professional career between private law practice and working in corporate America. He likes to say he is a "businessman with a law degree". His legal experience in business planning, corporate finance, estate planning, mergers and acquisitions and general financial management has brought significant depth to the Plancorp team.
Steve has been active in the soccer world throughout his life. At St. Louis University he was named All American in soccer, starred on two NCAA Championship Teams, and is a member of the University's Sports Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame. Steve played professionally with the St. Louis Stars of the North American Soccer League and for the US World Cup Soccer Team (he even got to defend against Pele).
Steve remains active in the St. Louis community serving on the boards of several community organizations and resides in Webster Groves with his wife Mary. They have three children: Emily, an attorney providing research, business development and strategic planning services to ZeaVision, LLC in St. Louis, MO, Kevin, the Director of Government Relations for the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, and Steven an attorney with Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal in St. Louis, MO.
