Financial Planner

Plancorp is seeking a Financial Planner to join our growing team. Together with our sister RIA, BrightPlan, we help our clients’ enrolled employees improve all aspects of their financial lives through participation in a financial wellness program. By offering this important benefit to their employees, clients can raise productivity and lower absenteeism in their workforce.

First, the financial wellness program participants leverage technology to access relevant content and helpful tools. Next, when the participants are ready to get live, personalized assistance, they schedule a meeting with a Plancorp Financial Planner, who can help them with the next step in their financial planning journey.

Position Overview:

Financial Planners are a key component of Plancorp’s wealth management team. They quickly assess a program participant’s financial situation and help them navigate to their destination. The financial wellness program participants are typically employees of a Fortune 1000 company.

This position requires critical thinking skills and curiosity, plus the ability to work independently, remain flexible to changing priorities, and anticipate questions received during virtual meetings with participants. As with all positions at Plancorp, specific duties will be adapted to our clients’ needs. In general, in this role you will…

  • At a high level, speak to any financial concern the financial wellness program participant may have.
  • Assess estate planning, retirement planning, tax planning and insurance needs.
  • Respond appropriately to clients’ questions and requests.
  • Identify need for elevation of participant questions to a Wealth Manager.
  • Build the participant’s trust in Plancorp by providing exemplary customer service.
  • Articulate the benefits of becoming a Plancorp client to any participant with a more complex financial situation and assist a Wealth Manager in the sales/proposal and, if applicable, the onboarding process if they decide to hire Plancorp.
What you bring:
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four-year university; social sciences or business majors preferred.

Client Service Representative

Plancorp is seeking a Client Service Representative to join our growing team. We advocate for clients by proactively guiding them through all aspects of their financial lives. The firm provides comprehensive, holistic financial planning and investment advisory services for individuals, families, business owners, non-profit and institutional clients. We assist clients in articulating meaningful goals and attaining those goals through actions and strategies consistent with their specified values.

Position Overview:

Reporting to a lead Wealth Manager, Plancorp's Client Service Representative (CSR) is the key intermediary between Plancorp’s Operations staff, Wealth Management team, and the custodian of the client’s assets. The CSR is extremely organized, and able to complete a high volume of tasks in a timely, detailed fashion. The CSR communicates with clients when changes are made to their accounts, and also keeps the client’s wealth management team updated on these changes. 

In this role you will…

  • Complete new client paperwork and open accounts.
  • Communicate with custodian of client's assets to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Collect and maintain client information in our client relationship management database.
  • Scan and store documents.
  • Fulfill and/or coordinate the completion of client service requests in a timely fashion. 
  • Respond appropriately to clients' questions and requests.
  • Monitor critical account alerts and communicate to Operations and Wealth Management team.
  • Acquire and maintain Notary Public status.
  • Expand the client's trust in Plancorp by providing exemplary customer service.
What you bring…
  • Three years of experience as an intermediary between a financial services firm and brokerages, securities custodial firms, or similar institutions.

Director of Marketing

Plancorp is seeking a Director of Marketing. This person will lead a team responsible for developing our marketing strategy to drive audience engagement and improve business results. If you are an experienced marketing leader with a digital marketing background, this could be the role for you.

Position Overview:

As Director of Marketing, you will lead a team who will design the strategy we employ to move marketing forward at the firm. You will be responsible for building multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns designed to acquire, retain and build client loyalty. This role will also oversee our Content and Thought Leadership Programs which fuel our growth strategies to interest successful professionals with complex finances. Experience with marketing automation technologies, strategic planning, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are critical success factors for this role.

This position requires a level of critical thinking, creativity and the know-how to integrate compelling messaging into various marketing channels to inspire desired actions.   • Identify audience segments and design marketing campaigns that incorporate relevant content to improve conversion rates within our business development pipeline
  • Develop strategies to create compelling content designed to generate leads, qualify prospects for business development and convert qualified leads into clients. This may include, but is not limited to, blog articles, eBooks, helpful guides or worksheets, infographics, videos, podcasts, social posts, etc
  • Manage departmental budget; direct staff and leverage agency partners to efficiently implement strategies
  • Oversee the creation of automated workflows (using HubSpot) that present relevant topics and information
  • Analyze marketing data and generate actionable insights to apply to campaigns to improve business development conversion rates
  • Analyze content efforts and lead conversion performance, and make adjustments as necessary
  • Research, test and integrate new content distribution channels
  • Support advisors’ organic business development efforts and client events
What you bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills – creative, business, and technical writing strongly desired
  • At least 7-10 years of experience with digital marketing
  • Proficient in Hubspot (or equivalent automation software)
  • Knowledge of established social media technologies, platforms, and channels
  • A passion for digital media, learning new platforms and testing content distribution channels
