Wealth Manager - Tax Emphasis

Plancorp is seeking a Wealth Manager to join our growing team. Focused on serving Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals and families, this Wealth Manager will advocate for clients by proactively guiding them through all aspects of their financial lives.

What You Bring:

Family Office Assistant

Nationally recognized Saint Louis based fee-only Wealth Management company is seeking a Family Office Assistant for our growing team.

Plancorp advocates for their clients by proactively guiding them through all aspects of their financial lives. The firm, with assets under management of approximately $4 billion, provides comprehensive, holistic financial planning and investment advisory services for individuals, families, business owners, non-profit, and institutional clients. We assist clients in articulating meaningful goals and attaining those goals through actions and strategies consistent with their specified values.

Position Overview

As a Family Office Assistant, you will work within a team to help our clients maintain their financial records. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Personal bill paying for our clients.
  • Bookkeeping duties for our clients’ businesses.
  • Monitoring clients’ accounts for transactions and adequate balances to meet cash requirements.
  • Maintaining CRM records as appropriate.
  • Assisting with Client Service duties, such as opening accounts and executing financial transactions.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Reports to: Chief Planning Officer

What you bring:
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles; Associate degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Experience working in a CPA firm or family office practice is helpful.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn new software quickly.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and meet the expectations of complex clients.
  • Ability to leverage interpersonal skills to strengthen relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong client service orientation and a commitment to acting in the client’s best
  • Respect for the confidentiality of client and firm
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, including excellent grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to follow-up effectively with all team members, clients and vendors/partners.
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently and independently.
  • Demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment.
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state individual income taxes a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of estate planning documents (revocable trusts, wills, etc.) a plus.
  • Experience interacting with institutional custodians (Charles Schwab, Fidelity and TD Ameritrade) a plus.

Financial Planner

Financial Planners are a key component of Plancorp’s wealth management team and support the Wealth Manager’s primary focus of analyzing a high net worth individual’s financial situation and navigating them to their destination. This position requires critical thinking skills and curiosity, plus the ability to work independently, remain flexible to changing priorities, and anticipate firm needs and client questions. In this role you will…

  • Collect, organize, and synthesize client information.
  • Assess prospect or client’s estate, retirement, tax planning and insurance needs.
  • Construct and/or review all financial and retirement projections.
  • Analyze client’s information to assess estate, retirement, tax planning and insurance needs.
  • Coordinate planning recommendations and implement with outside professionals.
  • Respond appropriately to clients’ questions and requests.
  • Expand the client’s trust in Plancorp by providing exemplary customer service.
What You Bring:
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four-year university; social sciences or business majors preferred.
  • Commitment to acting in the clients’ best interests in a fee-only financial planning environment.
  • Respect for the confidentiality of client and corporate information.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of investing, including the characteristics and use of various investment securities, the mechanics of securities transactions, and the different types of investment accounts.
  • Positive customer-focused attitude.
  • Self-motivated to complete responsibilities with little or no supervision.

Client Service Representative

Plancorp is seeking a Client Service Representative to join our growing team. We advocate for clients by proactively guiding them through all aspects of their financial lives. We assist clients in articulating meaningful goals and attaining those goals through actions and strategies consistent with their specified values.

Position Overview:

Reporting to a lead Wealth Manager, Plancorp's Client Service Representative (CSR) is the key intermediary between Plancorp’s Operations staff, Wealth Management team, and the custodian of the client’s assets. The CSR is extremely organized, and able to complete a high volume of tasks in a timely, detailed fashion. The CSR communicates with clients when changes are made to their accounts, and also keeps the client’s wealth management team updated on these changes. 

In this role you will…

  • Complete new client paperwork and open accounts.
  • Communicate with custodian of client's assets to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Collect and maintain client information in our client relationship management database.
  • Scan and store documents.
  • Fulfill and/or coordinate the completion of client service requests in a timely fashion. 
  • Respond appropriately to clients' questions and requests.
  • Monitor critical account alerts and communicate to Operations and Wealth Management team.
  • Acquire and maintain Notary Public status.
  • Expand the client's trust in Plancorp by providing exemplary customer service.
What you bring…
  • Three years of experience as an intermediary between a financial services firm and brokerages, securities custodial firms, or similar institutions.
  • Commitment to acting in the clients’ best interests.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Respect for the confidentiality of client and corporate information.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive customer-focused attitude.
  • Self-motivated to complete responsibilities with limited supervision.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree preferred.
