Congratulations to Daniel Lee on receiving the UC Berkeley Extension “Tim Kochis Award for Teaching Excellence.” Daniel, the lead wealth manager of our Bay Area office, teaches several Financial Planning classes and also serves on the school’s advisory board.

The UC Berkeley Extension Certificate Program in Personal Financial Planning is a CFP Board-Registered program that qualifies graduates to sit for the CFP® Exam and offers an academic path to the financial planning profession. A former graduate of the program himself, Daniel now teaches the Survey of Personal Financial Planning, Employment Benefits and Retirement Planning courses. He also sits on the school’s Advisory Board.

The Tim Kochis Award for Teaching Excellence recognizes an outstanding Personal Financial Planning instructor—this year, Daniel! The award is named for Tim Kochis, who was influential in launching the UC Berkeley Extension Certificate Program in Personal Financial Planning in 1981. The award has been given each year since 2006 at the program’s Awards Dinner.

Congrats again to Daniel on a well-deserved recognition of his passion for education in the Financial Planning profession.
